Comprehensive Masterplan of Jalpaiguri Municipality for the horizon
year 2026-2051. This Masterplan will promote the holistic development
of Jalpaiguri municipality and help in the rational growth of their
spatial extent. Presently, the total area of the municipality is 3205
acres encompassing 25 wards and having a population of 107431 people
as per 2011 census (3750) households currently). The major urban
planning concern of the municipality is Sanitation, SWM, Potable Water
Supply, Land Use, River side beautification & Environment etc.
